About Calvin
Calvin Smith Over 50 years in the museum field, founder, professor and chair of the Department of Museum Studies at Baylor University where, during a 20 year tenure, saved and created the Ollie Mae Moen Discovery Center, moved and restored the Gov. Bill and Vara Daniel Historic Village and directed the excavations of the Waco Mammoth Site for 18 years which was sanctioned as a National Monument in 2015.
Planned, designed and helped raise over $20M for the completion of the Mayborn Museum Complex and has has assisted in the development and building of a dozen museums from scratch and completed many long range master plans for non-profit entities as well as serving on numerous museum assessments and accreditation visits for the American Association of Museums (now the American Alliance of Museums).
Published two books during the past year and has over 50 academic papers in various journals and professional periodicals.
Helen Howell-Graves
About Helen
Helen is a museum professional with a visual art background. She holds a BFA in Studio Art and MA in Museum Studies, both from Texas Tech University. She has a wide range of experience over 35 years with several museums in Texas including the McFaddin-Ward House Museum, the Art Museum of Southeast Texas, the Texas Historical Commission, and the Lyndon Baines Johnson Presidential Library and Museum, to name a few. She loves to visit other museums, paints, makes jewelry and spend time with family and friends.

About Destiny
Destiny is a hardworking and versatile Administrative Assistant with proven organizational skills, thorough knowledge of corporate policies and procedures, excellent communication skills, and extensive strategic planning capabilities. She works with museums across the United States bringing history to life while educating the public. During her free time, you can find her on campus working to receive a Bachelors in education. Destiny knows no stranger and is always building relationships with the community, while preparing for the future. Her hobbies are spending time with her two kids, acting, performing, horseback riding, hunting, and playing sports such as flag football, basketball, and volleyball.

Paige Davis has worked in the museum field in the capacity of collecitons manager, registrar or curator for 18 years. She has been the Collections Manager at the Taylor Museum of Waco and McLennan County HIstory since May 2024.
